Walsingham Pilgrimage

27th - 30th May 2022

On Friday 27th May, 40 members of our parish began a three day pilgrimage to the National Shrine of our Lady in Walsingham. The weekend provided opportunities for fellowship, prayer and quiet reflection in 'England's Nazareth'. We felt blessed to be able to share time in the sunshine with fellow pilgrims, we even managed to enjoy an afternoon at the seaside! We returned on Sunday evening refreshed and thankful to have have had the opportunity to be with Mary our blessed Mother.

This afternoon, we saw our youth performance in St Dunstan’s Church of living out the Stations of Cross. Well done for such a powerful and very moving way to show the events in the Passion of Christ, from his condemnation by Pontius Pilate to his entombment.

Remembrance Sunday

Sunday 14th November 2021

The poppies: ‘The Cross of Suffering’

In November 2018, the world marked the 100th anniversary of the armistice which ended World War 1 (1914-1918). The parishioners of St Dunstan’s and St Jude’s expressed this anniversary by making hundreds of knitted and crocheted poppies to display in our churches on the cross of suffering. As an ongoing tradition, we will continue to display these same poppies annually as a gesture of peace, reconciliation and remembrance. ‘Jesus, remember me when I come into your kingdom.’
