The parish catechists deliver sacramental preparation primarily for children who do not attend Catholic schools or for those who have missed preparation in a Catholic school.

Parents wishing to have their children attend classes to prepare for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy  Communion and Confirmation should first make themselves known at Sunday Masses to the Parish Clergy.  It is expected that children wishing to receive the sacraments regularly attend Mass with their parent(s). Classes for Confession, First Holy Communion and Confirmation are usually held on a weekday evening for one hour between 4 and 6 pm, last about 16 weeks and normally begin after February half-term.
