The Stations of the Cross commemorate Jesus Christ's last day on Earth as a man. The 14 stations, begin with His condemnation. At each station, the individual recalls and meditates on a specific event from Christ's last day. Specific prayers are recited for each station.

LENTEN SOUP LUNCH
St Dunstan's: Fridays 12.30pm in the Conference Room.
Join us for a simple, frugal lunch to support our neighbours across the world this Lent. Lunch is free; donations for CAFOD are welcome.
MASS TIMES

EARLY MORNING MASS
St Dunstan's: Thursdays during Lent at 6.45am starting Thursday 10th March.
Mass will be followed by tea, coffee and toast in the Conference Room.
The Mass is the sacrifice of the Cross renewed on the altar. On the altar just as on the Cross, Christ offers his body and blood for us. When we go to Mass, we go to Calvary. Why not enter more fully into the Lent by coming to one of the early Masses.
ASH WEDNESDAY
2nd March 2022
St Dunstan's: Mass at
9.30am and 7.00pm
St Jude's: Mass at
11.00am

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Season of Lent and takes place 46 days before Easter Sunday.
Ash Wednesday comes from the ancient Jewish tradition of penance and fasting. The practice includes the wearing of ashes on the head. The ashes symbolize the dust from which God made us. As the priest applies the ashes to a person's forehead, he speaks the words: "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return."
