Children’s Liturgy

At the beginning of the 10:00am Mass at St Dunstan’s, the Celebrant or Deacon brings the Children's Lectionary from the main altar and presents it to one of the assembled children who then go to join either the group for children of school age (who have not yet made their first communions) or the group for very young children (under school age). The children return at the Offertory, having heard and explored the gospel story of the day in an appropriate and enjoyable way. The older group meets in the Conference Room and the younger group assembles in the altar servers’ sacristy.

If you would like your son or daughter to take part, send them to assemble at the main altar when the Celebrant invites them to do so. Very young children in the second group meet by the Lady Chapel and will need adult support.  All children are welcome to join the appropriate group for their age.

Anyone wishing to help lead and/or supervise these sessions will be welcomed. Please make yourself known to any of the organisers or group leaders.
